Selected for the Flynn Breakthrough Producing Platform to develop THE MOUTH, a new interdisciplinary outdoor performance conceived for public and non-conventional spaces across Vermont. Led by Valkyrie Yao as choreographer, director, and performer, the work brings together an ensemble of six to eight performers and examines voice, hunger, breath, refusal, and the politics of public gathering.
The platform provides $25,000 in commissioning and producing support, alongside an ongoing partnership with The Flynn in the development, production, marketing, and public presentation of the work. THE MOUTH is being developed toward its planned Vermont premiere in September 2027.
