STILSS & PORTRAITS

Photography sits between two directions of looking: portraits made by others, and the world seen through the lens here. The first holds a record of presence under another gaze, how posture, light, and proximity shape a body into image, and what remains unspoken in that framing. The second follows attention outward, treating the camera as a discipline of noticing, where distance, weather, texture, and accidental geometry become a quiet way to think.
