About the event

In the frenzy of revelry, the rules vanish into thin air, while amidst darkness, the divine guides all souls.

"Tamer" harmonizes Eastern and Western performance techniques and aesthetics, delving deep into the complexities of human nature through the lens of philosophies like Taoism and Buddhism. Such as "The Dao道“ “Wu Wei 无为” “Yin Yang 阴阳” "Ziran 自然” from Daism and "Impermanence (Anicca) 无常” “No-Self (Anatta)无我” “Dependent Origination (Pratitya-samutpada) 缘起” “Nirvana (Nibbana)涅槃” from Buddhism. Breaking free from the confines of conventional art, it probes the intricate layers of human experience in the context of societal norms and ethical paradigms. By blending social reality with artful abstraction, the project aims to evoke contemplation and introspection. Through metaphors such as the dissolution of discipline amidst revelry and the subtle guidance of deities in the shadows, it explores multifaceted themes including power dynamics, wealth disparity, desires, conflicts, governance, human rights, and the control of information.
